These were just three of the variety of `squares` on the Getting to Know You Bingo game cards at our July Meeting. Challenged with completing first a line, then two, then a full house, there was much chatter and laughter as ladies circulated to find a name to write in each box. With so many `new` members in recent months it was the ideal opportunity to socialise – and there were definitely a few surprises.
Thank you to everyone who supported our tea and cakes stall at the Church Fete last month. There were very occasional bursts of sunshine, but most of the time, the rain poured, the wind howled and, at one point there was a clap of thunder. However, our tent was warm and dry (if you avoided the odd drip from the ceiling) and more importantly, very stable in the blustery winds . The orphans of the storm who came in for shelter stayed for hot drinks and cakes and it was really quite cosy!
August promises to be busy with an Afternoon Tea and Crafternoon focusing on paper flowers as well as our usual groups. At our monthly meeting we`ll be welcoming Hayley from Heartful Sound Healing who will be demonstrating how soothing sounds can nourish the mind, body and spirit. Sounds interesting? Come along and see…. visitors are always welcome (1st Thursday of month at 7.30)
